If you live in the unincorporated parts of the County (i.e. La Presa); alleys are not maintained by the County Department of Public Works. The County puts this responsibility onto the owner of the property who must maintain the segment of the alley bordering their property line up to the centerline of the alley.                  Keyword: Dumping
