Noise Complaints
If you wish to file a noise complaint for the unincorporated areas of San Diego County, (including Spring Valley) please call the San Diego County Code Compliance request for investigation hotline at 858-694-2705 or e-mail PDS.CodeCompliance@sdcounty.ca.gov and include the following information:
Include the type of noise (dogs, roosters, generators, etc), how long the noise has been a problem, and a pattern of the occurrences.
Your name, address, and telephone number. All information is kept confidential, however, we cannot accept anonymous complaints.
The address or a detailed description of the location of the problem property. If the property is located on a corner, please indicate which directional corner (North, South, East, West, etc).
A description of the situation.
California Vehicle Code, Section 27151
(a) A person shall not modify the exhaust system of a motor vehicle in a manner which will amplify or increase the noise emitted by the motor of the vehicle so that the vehicle is not in compliance with the provisions of Section 27150 or exceeds the noise limits established for the type of vehicle in Article 2.5 (commencing with Section 27200). A person shall not operate a motor vehicle with an exhaust system so modified.
