Need to get some volunteer hours to meet graduation requirements? We have the opportunity for you! SVCA holds monthly cleanups, so come on out and join us to improve the community while checking off those community service hours. Bring a friend or two and get started on earning those hours for graduation! We promise you'll be done with plenty of time left in the day for studying, skating, or hanging out
Community service and volunteering is an important part of your personal and professional development. According to a survey by TimeBank, 73% of employers stated that they are more likely to hire a candidate with volunteer experience than someone who has none!
Research indicates that the effects of community service on college students include enhanced civic responsibility, academic development, better GPAs, and aspirations for advanced degrees.

Military
Looking to make a bigger impact on your community while stationed here in San Diego and work toward earning the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal? Come and join SVCA during any of our monthly cleanups. Want to bring your whole Unit out? We can schedule special events focusing on areas in Spring Valley that could really use your help. Thank you for your service to our Country and thank you for your interest in seeking ways to support the community!
Workplace Outreach
