Sweetwater Authority – An introduction to the Sweetwater Authority and the reservoir with our group’s interest being in recreational opportunities in and around the reservoir, both current and potential. The presentation will be made by the Director of Water Quality, Justin Brazil, and the Director of Engineering and Distribution, Erick DelBosque.

2. Department of Public Works – Apple Street Sidewalks Improvement Project. Ryan Lau, Project Manager, will present the 50% level design.

3. PDS2022-ZAP-22-009, 9125 Lamar Street - Battery Storage Facility introduction for discussion and group input. Presenter is Pierce, proponent is Skyler Tennis, Director of Operations for EnerSmart Storage.

4. The California Strategic Growth Council is recommending approval of the Transformative Climate Committee award for Spring Valley. The official announcement will be made on Monday, 10.24.22, with a hearing on 10.27.22 for public input. Our County is being recommended by the Strategic Growth Council (SGC) staff to be awarded the Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) planning grant award for the application titled Spring Valley S.E.E.D.S. – Sustainable Environment & Engaged Development Strategies. We were the highest scoring application in the state among 21 applications. This is the first time that they have awarded a TCC grant to a disadvantaged unincorporated community. 5. Vacancy. Seat #5 of the Spring Valley Community Planning Group is now vacant. Due to this vacancy coinciding with the general election, questions on process are being asked of County Counsel.

LUEG staff will then share more information about the County's application to the Strategic Growth Council's Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) planning grant for Spring Valley. Staff will also be available to answer any questions and discuss how the TCC grant will move forward, if funded by the State.

2. Mitchell Levy, Code Enforcement Officer with PDS. Mitchell will discuss caseload, backlog, and a general update on code enforcement here in the Spring Valley Planning area.

1. Sweetwater Road, heading north from Tyler Street to Troy Street, need sidewalk for 1,758 feet
2. From Sweetwater Road at Troy Street, going east to Bancroft Drive, needs new sidewalks on both sides of the street; 4634 feet.
3. Need a cross walk at Lamar Park across Bancroft Street.
4. On Kenwood, going west from Helix Street to Kenwood Court, need sidewalks on both sides of the street; 1,486 feet.
5. From under the SR94 bridge, going north on South Barcelona Street to Highlands Elementary, sidewalks missing in places; 1,682 feet.
6. On Apple Street turning on to La Presa Avenue, both sides of the street need sidewalks to the school; 4,988 feet.
7. On Jamacha Road from Osage Street to Elkelton Blvd going west or east. Both sides of the street need sidewalks; 4,052 feet.
8. Street light(s) from Grand Avenue to Elkelton Blvd on Jamacha Road.
9. Storm Drain on 10328 San Carlos, replace/repair/complete?
